Doll is a Musha Ningyo (武者人形), a traditional Japanese warrior doll. The painted face, inset hair, and finely crafted beard are characteristic features of high-quality Musha Ningyo dolls, which were often displayed during Tango no Sekku (Children’s Day) in Japan.

Key Features Indicating Musha Ningyo:
Facial Detail: Traditional ningyo dolls have expressive, hand-painted faces, often made of go-fun (a crushed oyster-shell paste).
Hair & Beard: Realistic, often made of horsehair or silk.
Armor & Clothing: Handmade, sometimes incorporating silk, brocade, and lacquered elements.
Historical Representation: These dolls often depict famous samurai like Takeda Shingen, Uesugi Kenshin, or Kato Kiyomasa.
